The Procedure

The implants are inserted without any external or visible scars. Fat augmentation of the cheeks can be performed under local anesthesia. Cheek augmentation is often done in conjunction with other procedures to improve the overall harmony of your face, such as face lift, chin augmentation, or blepharoplasty.

Recovery
You may return home later the same day and there are no dressings or sutures to remove. Taping is used for several days and the patient is placed in liquid to soft diet for the first few days. Bruising and swelling is minimal and subsides within a week or two.
