Chin Augmentation
for Men in New York
Manhattan, New York City
Chin recession can detract from
the overall balance of the face. Chin augmentation
is a simple operation which can make a dramatic improvement
by building up a small chin and improving overall facial
balance with a specially designed implant. Men often
seek chin augmentation to enhance facial strength for a
more dignified, masculine appeal. Rhinoplasty and facelift are often performed in conjunction with
a chin augmentation.
The Procedure
A small incision is made either inside the mouth,
or externally on the underside of the chin. A small prosthesis
is inserted, and after closing the incision, a dressing
is applied. In
most cases, the incision is virtually invisible when healed.
The procedure is frequently done in conjunction with a nasal
refinement surgery, liposuction of the neck or
facelift surgery .
Recovery
Discomfort is mild and easily controlled by medication.
You can be up and around the same day as the surgery and
most patients return to work and normal activities within
a few days after the dressing is removed. Taping is used
for several days and the patient is placed on liquid to
soft diet for the first few days.
