Laser skin resurfacing is a revolutionary technique where a laser beam is used to resurface the face, to improve lines, creases, acne scars and blemishes. The Laser Skin Resurfacing Procedure
Prior to the treatment, the face is prepared with Retin-A and in some cases with bleaching agents. Depending of the extent of the resurfacing and/or desire of the patient, the laser treatment may be performed under local or general anesthesia. There are no incisions to be made. The laser basically resurfaces the face by removing unwanted layers and then allowing for new skin regeneration.

Recovery
Following surgery, special taping is applied to the resurfaced areas for about 5 days and are changed, usually, twice. This greatly minimizes pain and helps the healing process. Special gels and creams are used following, and cover-up can usually be applied after one week.
